Charitable Giving Policy
Swingmor believes that sustainable business is not just about what we make, but what we give back. Our Charitable Giving Policy ensures that our success in producing eco-friendly golf apparel translates directly into tangible support for social and environmental causes—locally and globally. We are proud to operate a business model that allocates a share of our income toward those in need, whether through direct donations, advocacy, or community partnerships.
Giving Framework
We commit to charitable giving to offset residual impacts of the business defined by our impact calculations in terms of land use and water consumption at prevailing market rates and by externality costs (£1,000/acre land use and £2.5/m3 water use).
In addition, we commit to making total annual charitable donations (including water & land) equal to or greater than:
• 2% of total revenue, or
• 4% of Earnings Before Tax (EBT),
Our donations support a carefully selected group of charitable partners working across environmental protection and social equity. We work with both local and international organizations to ensure a diverse and far-reaching impact.
Charity Vetting and Oversight
To ensure our charitable contributions are effective and responsible, all partner organizations must rank in the top 20% for governance, financial transparency, and use of funds as assessed by Giving is Great or equivalent independent evaluators. This rigorous vetting process ensures that Swingmor’s donations drive real and lasting change.
Advocacy and Awareness
Beyond financial contributions, we use our platform, events, and Swingmor community to amplify our partners’ work. From campaigns highlighting clean water initiatives to local partnerships supporting underserved youth, we embed purpose in everything we do—especially in how we give.
Current List of Charitable Partners
- We offset residual land-use through charitable giving to the woodland trust, the UK's largest woodland conservation charity, dedicated to protecting and restoring native trees and woodlands for the benefit of people and nature. We donate at least £1,000 per acre of land used.
- We offset residual water use though charitable giving to Wateraid an international non-profit organization dedicated to making clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene accessible to everyone, everywhere. We donate at least £2.5 per cubic metre of water used.
- To support social equity we donate to England Golf Trust, an independent charity that provides financial support to young golfers in England from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them to continue and develop their game.
